Are you looking for a challenging opportunity that leverages your subcontracts experience? Come join us! As a Subcontracts Management Specialist II, you'll support the Supply Management organization through Category, Agreement, and Performance Management of our suppliers. By assisting in the development of subcontract specifications and statements of work for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for our subcontracted assemblies and systems, you’ll help guide the development, production, and global sustainment for multiple contract types. You'll be responsible for preparing our bid packages, developing evaluation criteria, analyzing and evaluating supplier proposals, negotiating subcontract provisions, selecting or recommending new suppliers, and administering our subcontracts. Additionally, you'll lead, manage, and administer standard subcontracts agreements, such as Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M), participate in and lead minor to moderately complex negotiations of terms, price, and schedule, and monitor subcontractor performance.
Your primary role is to ensure supplier performance to SNC and its missions, meeting supplier delivery, quality, service, cost, and technical requirements through the entire subcontract lifecycle.
You may support the identification and development of current and new suppliers to support Category goals, as well as monitor, measure, and report supplier(s) progress. It will be important to contract appropriately, ensuring SNC protection and obligating suppliers to clearly specified requirements. You are responsible for what you buy, from whom, and the corresponding results.
As a Subcontracts Management Specialist, you will work to reduce the cost and increase the value of using the preferred SNC supply base over time. You are the leader of a given subcontract, and you represent your internal teammates who have communicated this requirement.
Additionally, you will:
+ Increasingly provide supply base expertise to SNC proposals and programs, knowing the suppliers well enough to facilitate and guide cross-functional sourcing and supplier management activities.
+ Ensure accurate requirements are defined, understood, and accepted by the supplier(s).
+ Foster and lead supplier-related communication and relationships – information to and from the supplier will flow through you.
+ Act as the point of contact between SNC/Program(s) and the supply base.
+ As the Supply Management representative, you will own the relationship between SNC and your suppliers, even as you facilitate executive and PM interaction with these suppliers.
+ Lead negotiations including, but not limited to, deliverable requirements, terms and conditions, pricing, schedule, and milestone development.
+ Document acquisitions and maintain files in compliance with government regulations, company policy, and best business practices, and provide audit support as required.
+ Track progress on subcontracts/POs: progress against schedule, available funding, actual and forecasted spending.
+ Identify risks and opportunities, and as assigned, develop risk management/mitigation plans and strategies.
+ Status supply base activity to programs and the SCM organization.
+ Serve as the bridge between SNC and our supply base to ensure a collaborative approach to strategic thinking and problem-solving – cross-collaboration both internally and externally will be expected.
+ Support department goals including, but not limited to, on-time delivery, negotiations, and PR processing time.
