    The Cleaning Room Supervisor will direct, maintain, and enforce the safety program for the Cleaning Room department. You will supervise the finishing crew, process quality castings on time, and maintain an acceptable inventory of items needed for the job.

    As a Cleaning Room Supervisor, You Will:

    + Supervise the finishing crew with enthusiasm and integrity

    + Maintain a clean and orderly department

    + Ensure that tier 3 work instructions are adequate and up-to-date

    + Enter any safety hazards in the hazard tracking system and follow up on corrective actions on a monthly basis

    + Direct, maintain, and enforce the safety program for the department that you are supervising.

    + Promote safety, quality, and efficiency and maintain employee morale.

    + Training new employees.

    + Leading administration relating to production cards, daily time and attendance, planning, emails, ordering, and overtime.

    + Monitor casting defects and communicate problems to appropriate department.

    + Communicate with maintenance on repair needs.

    + Be on call and monitor furnaces on the weekend per schedule.

    + Assist with casting inventory.

    + Hold monthly communication (Toolbox) meetings with employees and weekly safety communication meetings.

    + Participate in weekly SQDC meetings.

    + Complete and maintain standard first aid and adult CPR certification.

    + Record safety incidents.

    + Fill in for Supervisor in Melt, Core, Disa, Lab, and Maintenance.

    + When not filling in as a supervisor, assist Superintendent as needed.

    + Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

    Schedule:

    This role typically works during the hours of 9 PM - 6:30 AM, with routine overtime expected

    Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

    + A high school diploma or GED

    + The ability to manage manufacturing operations. This includes guiding and mentoring employees by managing their workflow, assigning responsibilities, and preparing schedules.

    + Basic understanding of MS Office Suite.

    Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

    + Experience working in a foundry setting is preferred.

    + Familiarity with ERP systems

    + An understanding of maintenance with the ability to oversee the safe use of the equipment and direct any maintenance concerns
