Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Technician.
The hourly rate for this position is $25 per hour.

What you’ll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Reports to the Quality Engineering Supervisor or designated authority. The primary function of this position is to support the Quality Systems Engineer and Quality Engineers in driving improvements across Quality, Delivery, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Key responsibilities include Conducting customer return inductions and performing QMS activities using a variety of quality tools and techniques to ensure product compliance with quality standards. The Quality Technician performs key Quality Assurance activities in the areas of prevention, internal audits/assessments, participate on RCCA investigations, record of data and notification of nonconforming product. Other duties may include training new technicians, recommending improvements and creating/updating QMS procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Participates in the development and implementation of inspection, testing, and evaluation techniques for incoming and final goods.
• Supports Quality Engineers in reviewing and dispositioning non-conforming material.
• Reviews and analyzes inspection and test results to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Engages in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities involving customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
• Responds to technical inquiries related to quality processes and standards.
• Leads and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assists with internal and external audit activities in accordance with Eaton procedures.
• Reviews and assess contracts, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards (e.g., AS9100C, AS9102) to ensure compliance.
• Audits and evaluates technical and operational data (e.g., manufacturing instructions, test records, inspection data, first article data) to identify and address compliance gaps.
• Conducts internal audits in support of the AS9100 Quality Management System, including product, process, and Layered Process Audits (LPAs); document findings and ensure timely closure of nonconformities.
• Assists in updating QC procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and checklists as needed.
• Trains staff involved in quality-related processes.
Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality, including inspection, auditing, and training activities.
• Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile distance of the Los Angeles, CA facility (zip code 90039) to be considered.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience working/interacting with suppliers and customers.
• Knowledge or experience inspecting various types of materials (e.g., aluminum, alloy, titanium, stainless steel, etc.).
• College or ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification a plus.
• Experience working in FAA environment
• Position requires interaction with suppliers, external customers and internal personnel at all levels of the organization.

Ability to speak clearly and effectively with Manager/Supervisor, coworkers, customers, suppliers, etc.
• Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Computer Skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), internet, etc.
Additional Information:
• May be required to sit for long periods of time while performing duties
• Personal interactions with other function and employees at various levels of the organization
• May be required to participate in high performance work team activities with the goal of improving processes. Fast paced environment with an emphasis on accuracy
• Personal Protective equipment in particular steel toe shoes and safety glasses are required to be worn while working.
