Eaton’s ES AMER Sector Integration division is currently seeking a Global Data Center Technical Program Manager. Individuals will be able to work from a remote home office but must be located in either San Jose, CA, Dallas-Fort Worth, TX or Manassas, VA areas. Two positions are available with one role being hired for the California region and one role will be hired for either the Texas or Virginia region.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $141,000 - $259,440 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Job Summary
The data center industry is experiencing rapid growth and technological advancements, driven by the increasing demand for AI, cloud computing, and edge computing solutions. To remain relevant and competitive, Eaton must adopt a systems-based approach and provide comprehensive, unified solutions to our customers. This role will be part of the Data Center Architect Team which will play a pivotal role in achieving this by:
-Driving Innovation and Systems Thinking: The team will lead the development of next-generation data center solutions, integrating power, cooling, and data transport technologies. This approach is essential for providing modular solutions that cater to the evolving needs of our customers.
-Enhancing Customer Engagement and Satisfaction: By working closely with customers, the team will gather feedback and ensure that our offerings align with market demands. This will help us build stronger relationships and reinforce our engineering credibility.
-Supporting Key Accounts and Market Drivers: The team will focus on supporting major customers such as NVIDIA, AMD, Microsoft, Google, Meta, AWS, and Oracle. This will enable us to anticipate and meet customer demand, ensuring on-time delivery and minimizing lost business due to insufficient capacity.
This external-facing position at the sector level drives unified data center solutions, coordinating internal innovation across multiple disciplines while interfacing with end customers. It serves as a systems engineering leader with a hybrid role encompassing R&D, Marketing, and Sales. Focus will be on process improvement and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
•Early Concept Ideation: Initiate and review design concepts, analyze, ideate, and conduct peer reviews of detailed designs.
•Subject Matter Expertise: Engage as an expert in data center infrastructure design and operations, both internally and externally.
•Holistic Systems Approach: Oversee electrical, mechanical, network, and control systems with a comprehensive view of data center design.
•Performance Metrics Advisory: Advise on key metrics such as value engineering, efficiency, resiliency, sustainability, and operability.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Technical Program Manager with a focus on internal R&D, your responsibilities will include:
-Establishing, owning, and continuously developing a comprehensive roadmaps and processes that meets targets acrossR&D and Marketing and Sales.
-Identifying and building positive relationships with all account decision-makers and influencers who impact current or future business with Eaton.
-Understanding and capturing clients' challenges and requirements, resolving them with reference to Eaton's portfolio.
-Ensuring an effective handover to post-order project management, product services, and customer support teams.
-Maintaining oversight of all commercial-related engagements to ensure customer success and satisfaction, as well as Eaton's performance as a vendor.
-Being highly knowledgeable about the client's business, commercial condition, structure, strategy, operations, and challenges. Articulating this knowledge in terms of opportunity, growth, and risk with respect to Eaton's business.
-Being highly knowledgeable about Eaton's products, services, general business, structure, strategy, and operations. Articulating this knowledge in terms of value to the client's business.
-Acting as an effective advocate and communicator of the benefits of supporting your assigned accounts within the Eaton organization. Gather customer feedback for improvements.

-Knowing and reporting your account numbers. Being continuously aware of targets and current business levels within the account for both 'year to date' and forecast for order intake and revenue information. Being responsible for reporting both the narrative and the numbers.
-Collaborating effectively with other sales and stakeholders at the function, country, region, and global levels. Providing and gaining support so others can meet their responsibilities to the account.
-Providing all internal stakeholders and functional departments with the account-specific guidance and insights required to execute their roles and add value to the client.
-Building a multi-lane bridge between Eaton and the client organization. This may include R&D, Product Managers, BU Engineers, BDM, Marketing, PMO, Services, Sales Operations & Order Management, Supply Chain, Leadership & Executive Management.
-Requesting and supporting marketing campaigns (ABM) and activities that can grow Eaton's relationship and business with the client.
-Leading and coordinating internal R&D efforts to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs and drive business growth.
-Facilitating collaboration between R&D teams and other departments to ensure alignment with client requirements and market trends.
-Monitoring and evaluating the progress of R&D projects, ensuring they are on track to meet objectives and deliver value to clients.
-Communicating R&D outcomes and innovations to clients, highlighting how these advancements can address their challenges and create new opportunities.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree or international equivalent from an accredited institution
-Minimum of 10 years experience in data center business; this could be a combination of any or all of the 7 dimensions (gray space, white space, fiber, cooling, power, controls and rack designs).
Preferred Qualifications:
-Technical knowledge in data centers design and construction, specifically Fiber Optics, Electrical systems, Mechanical Cooling systems, Controls, Liquid cooling (Direct to Chip, 2 phase, and immersion). Practical onsite data center experience is essential.
-Project Management Experience: Experience with Product Design or Product Management with a working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
-Specialized Industry Knowledge: Ability to create customized data center physical layer solutions tailored to various data center subsegments, including (but not limited to) Hyperscale, liquid cooling, and the modular edge.
-DMAIC experience for process improvement and drive for excellence.
-Highly proficient at technical program management, agile and process improvement.
-Ability to write whitepapers and drive innovation.
-To perform effectively, the individual shall maintain sufficient market and competitor intelligence, understand client and market primary trends and requirements and how competition addresses them and how Eaton uniquely and preferentially meets them.
