    JOB SUMMARY

    The Senior Director, Run of Show (RoS) will be accountable for leading the development, operationalization, and global execution of the RoS for Marriott’s The Power of M deployment. The Power of M is a multi-year effort to transform Marriott’s technology and business process ecosystem, evolving it to deliver on our vision to become the world’s favorite travel company. The Business Transformation Office (BTO) has been established to enable and accelerate The Power of M through unique approaches to strategic planning, program management, change management, experience and business process design, continent coordination, and deployment.

     

    As part of the BTO and aligned with the Global Command Center, the Senior Director, Run of Show will oversee all cutover orchestration activities across waves, continents, and workstreams. The Senior Director will manage the global RoS team and will work closely with deployment leads, continent command centers, and various technology/business stakeholders to ensure deployment readiness, live event coordination, and successful activation across properties worldwide.

     

    This position will support 24/7 global command center coverage during deployment windows, maintaining synchronized execution across time zones, and resolving real-time issues with speed and precision. The Senior Director will provide executive-level visibility into cutover health and partner across BTO, global technology, and continent teams to ensure operational excellence throughout deployment.

    Expected Contributions

    + Lead and oversee the global RoS strategy, governance, and operational execution for all waves of The Power of M deployment.

    + Own and continuously refine the RoS operating model, tools, and cadence in partnership with deployment leadership.

    + Serve as a senior leader in the global command center, coordinating across business teams, technology teams, and support leads to align priorities during cutover.

    + Lead the command center meeting cadence, including recurring RoS meetings and executive briefings.

    + Provide direction and guidance to continent command centers, ensuring each continent team is aligned throughout command center operations.

    + Ensure delivery of 24/7 execution leadership during each cutover wave, managing team schedules, shift rotations, and real-time escalation response.

    + Monitor and drive performance across the Cutover Execution Tool in partnership with technology deployment team, ensuring visibility to task progress, delays, and critical path risk areas.

    + Partner with global technology, deployment support team, technology service desk, and ServiceNow team to align RoS activities with incident management and support resolution flows.

    + Identify and address systemic issues across waves, incorporating lessons learned into future wave playbooks and team knowledge.

    + Manage the RoS team, ensuring appropriate staffing, performance management, and development planning.

    + Performs other duties as needed.

    Education and Experience

    + 4-year degree preferred from an accredited university in business, technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + 10+ years of relevant professional experience in lodging, consulting, or communications related discipline preferred, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.

    + 5+ years of demonstrated experience in complex deployment execution, operations, program management, or business transformation.

    + Prior experience leading cross-functional teams in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments with global and regional stakeholders.

    + Experience working across global time zones and managing 24/7 execution coverage models

    + Strong hotel / market experience and/or knowledge of Marriott lodging systems / business processes / hotel operations.

    + Strong familiarity with Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, Power BI, Smartsheet, and Monday.com.

    + Excellent project management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple projects.

    + Ability to effectively persuade and motivate stakeholders and team members to achieve project goals and objectives.

    + Strong presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills.
