Estimator II

We’re looking for an **Estimator II** to join our team in **Norcross, GA** . In this role, you’ll prepare accurate material takeoffs using OST and/or Bluebeam Revu, develop pricing through Excel-based configurators, and generate professional quotations and budget proposals within our ERP system. You’ll collaborate closely with regional sales representatives while managing estimating responsibilities for assigned territories across the U.S. and Canada. Beyond estimating, you’ll also gather competitive insights and analyze market trends to help drive growth.
+ Strategically evaluates and prioritizes bidding opportunities to maximize impact and efficiency-
+ Prepares formal bids and quotations using the company’s ERP system with accuracy and timeliness-
+ Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and consistently delivers high-quality performance-
+ Thoroughly analyzes all aspects of project scope that may influence cost, including potential scope changes-
+ Gathers and applies market and project intelligence to develop competitive pricing strategies-
+ Collaborates closely with Independent Manufacturer’s Representatives [IMRs], Architectural Solution Managers [ASMs], distributors, and subcontractors to produce comprehensive project estimates.-
+ Generates material takeoffs in On-screen Takeoff [preferred] and/or Bluebeam Revu.--
+ Maintains a strong understanding of the full product portfolio, with a focus on modified products-
+ Tracks bid opportunities using internal tools such as excel spreadsheets and CRM software-
+ Effectively manages workload to ensure timely delivery of bids and budget proposals
+ Creates and maintains close, trusting relationships with customers and potential customers.-
+ Establishes credibility and influence within the market while expanding the customer base-
+ Supports the development of junior Estimators (Estimator 1s) with training, shadowing, and reviews.-
+ Collaborates with sales, production, product management, purchasing, and others across the CertainTeed business to win large “landmark” projects.-
+ Review Specifications and Bid Packages-
+ Complete Takeoffs-
+ Prepare Quotations/Budgets-
+ Report on Bid Opportunities-
+ Answer Technical Questions
+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, or Related Field or equivalent work experience-
+ 5-10 years in Construction or Building Products Industry-
+ Strong understanding of commercial construction and the bidding process-
+ Experience with estimating takeoff software (On-Screen Take-off, Planswift, AutoCAD, and/or Bluebeam)-
+ Strong understanding of Excel-
+ An ability to accurately read commercial construction drawings-
+ An ability to prioritize and organize tasks-
+ Good written and verbal communication skills-
+ Experience with SAP S4 Hana or other ERP software-
+ Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms-
