The R&D Engineer will be responsible for managing and directing all domestic development projects from concept to commercialization in partnership with the Product Management team. In addition, this person will also have the responsibility of managing all internal/external testing for domestically manufactured products and on-site lab resources/equipment.
+ Collaborate with product management to develop and build an R&D pipeline in support of the hand and arm product category
+ Lead and manage R&D projects from concept to commercialization.
+ Serve as subject matter expert on textiles to provide guidance and support to Product Management & Operations Team.
+ Manage R&D lab resources & equipment, as well as development /sample documentation system.
+ Manage both internal & external 3 rd party testing (cut, abrasion, puncture, contact heat & etc.).
+ Lead the development relationship with yarn suppliers and collaborate with Purchasing to source and validate new yarns.
+ Conduct competitive research and analysis that includes product reverse engineering.
+ Ensure timely delivery of research objectives to support the company's growth and competitive edge.
+ Trouble shoot and conduct root cause and corrective action on quality issues related to yarn/fiber.
+ Develop methods & techniques to improve existing products.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Inventory Management, Marketing, Sales, Production and Purchasing.
+ Stay informed & provide insight into the latest industry trends & advancements.
