We're seeking a strategic and collaborative Senior Compensation Consultant to transform how we support and reward our hourly associates. In this pivotal role, you'll design innovative compensation solutions that drive employee engagement and organizational excellence.
Key job responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive job evaluations using market data and internal assessment methodologies
- Design and implement scalable compensation programs that align with organizational goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute compensation strategies
- Analyze complex compensation data and create actionable insights for leadership
- Develop and maintain communication plans that explain compensation programs effectively
A day in the life
Your day will be a dynamic blend of data analysis, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll dive into compensation trends, develop insightful recommendations, and work closely with operations, finance, and leadership teams to create impactful compensation programs.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in finance, compensation, or consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core compensation terminology and best practices.
- Comprehensive understanding of compensation principles and best practices
- Demonstrated experience in compensation analysis and program development
- Proficiency in data interpretation and statistical analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in relevant field
- Advanced data visualization and analysis skills
- Experience with compensation management systems
- Expertise in SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel techniques
- Background in operations or human resources compensation strategy

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
