    Basic Job Functions:

    The role of the Industrial Maintenance Technician is to be a great Nucor team member who demonstrates high levels of ownership by safely performing Preventative and Corrective maintenance on the mill systems & equipment. This position is also expected to work with the team to propose and implement solutions to new and ongoing challenges in the steelmaking process, equipment, and business. [[cust_safetyState]]

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Mechanical and/or Electrical Skills and Fundamental Knowledge

    Experience Troubleshooting Mechanical and/or Electrical Systems

    2 or more years in an industrial environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Lubrication, & Power transmission system knowledge and experience

     

    Equipment alignment knowledge and experience

     

    Metal cutting, welding, fabrication knowledge and experience

     

    Electrical component & system knowledge & troubleshooting

     

    PLC, Motor controls, & AC/DC drive knowledge & experience

     

    Operation of forklift, mobile crane, and/or other mobile equipment

     

    Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
