Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Refractory Supervisor to join their team. As a Refractory Supervisor, you will be part of the Melt Shop Department supporting the refractory crew. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Refractory Supervisor

**Location:** Vidor, Texas

**Pay Range:** $95,000 - $110,000

What's the Job?

+ Supervise and direct refractory personnel engaged in installing, repairing, and maintaining refractory equipment and materials.

+ Oversee the relining of electric arc furnaces, ladles, and tundishes, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

+ Manage inventory control, ordering necessary refractory materials, and maintaining accurate records of usage and supplies.

+ Coordinate efforts with maintenance and production teams to optimize refractory operations and minimize downtime.

+ Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the team.

What's Needed?

+ 5+ years of experience in furnace, ladle, and tundish repair, with a strong understanding of refractory materials and installation techniques.

+ Knowledge of inventory control, melt shop operations, and safety procedures.

+ Ability to lead and motivate a team of 10-15 employees effectively.

+ Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with various departments and external suppliers.

+ Familiarity with refractory types, shapes, brands, and repair methods.
