    Department: Physician Office Building (POB) Pharmacy

    **Work Type:** Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0)

    **Shift:** Shift 1

    **Work Schedule:** 6 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 4:00:00 AM)

    **Pay Range:** $76.35 - $128.27 per hour

    Summary:

    The **System Director of Pharmacy, Community and Home Delivery Services** provides pharmacy leadership to assure that the Rush System for Health Community and Home Delivery Pharmacy Services demonstrates excellence across the continuum of care. The System Director of Pharmacy, Community and Home Delivery Services directs all operational and clinical pharmacy activities, including ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, optimizing operational efficiency, managing financial performance, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving program growth and innovation. Provides strategy and executes plans in coordination with System Pharmacy and the Rush Medical Group to assure consistency, safety, best practices and efficiency for Community and Home Delivery pharmacy programs and services. The leader will provide strategic vision for pharmacy services that results in contemporary, innovative and growth oriented pharmaceutical care across the Community and Home Delivery pharmacy services and achieve clinical and financial outcomes. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

    Required Job Qualifications:

    • Doctorate Degree of Pharmacy (PharmD) graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy or equivalent is required

    • State of Illinois Pharmacist licensure required within 12 months of hire.

    • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive outpatient, specialty and/or ambulatory pharmacy experience required, with three (3) years of previous supervisory experience preferred.

    Preferred Job Qualifications

    • Board Certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy (BCACP) or other relevant specialty certification (e.g., CSP - Certified Specialty Pharmacist) preferred.

    • Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 and PGY2 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience preferred.

    • Demonstrated experience in managing complex pharmacy operations, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.

    • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pharmacy programs and initiatives.

    • Demonstrated leadership experience with specialty pharmacy accreditation processes (e.g., URAC, ACHC) is highly preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Directs, supervises, mentors, and provides feedback to team members

    • Directs the hiring, discipline, orientation, and training of team members

    • Coordinates activities between pharmacy personnel and other inter and intradepartmental areas.

    • Ensures compliance with Federal and State laws, USP, Joint Commission standards, Department of Health and State Board of Pharmacy regulations, and other accrediting bodies

    • Ensures compliance with specialty pharmacy accreditations (e.g., URAC, ACHC).

    • Oversee the development and alignment and management of policies and procedures across the health system.

    • Develops and manages the operating and capital budget

    • Collaborates to negotiate contracts with payers, vendors, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

    • Facilitates optimization of reimbursement processes for pharmacy services and specialty medications, including medical and pharmacy benefit drugs, and ensure appropriate billing and coding practices.

    • Collaborates and works closely with 340B program teams to maximize participation and ensure compliance.

    • Participates in leading and developing pharmacy services to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This includes clinical decision-making, ensuring evidence-based practices, supporting formulary management, and overseeing pharmacy learner programs.

    • Provides workflow and process strategy, including productivity and quality monitors to ensure maximum utilization of Human Resources

    • Represents pharmacy or designates a team member on various committees related to pharmacy services

    • Participates in development, implementation, evaluation, and quality improvement of pharmacy services.

    • Coordinates pharmacy services between sites to ensure provision of safe, consistent, standardized care throughout the system.

    • Leads planning, assessment, and improvement of medication use in patients receiving specialty and primary care pharmacy services.

    • Develops, manages, and executes strategic plans and clinical initiatives that support system specialty and primary care pharmacy goals. This includes planning for growth, implementing new technologies, leading changes, and optimizing resource allocation.

    • Provides customer, quality, and cost-effectiveness feedback to customers

    • Creates an environment of empowerment, teamwork, and collaboration both in and outside the pharmacy
