    Description of Duties:

    The Project Manager will provide oversight for the daily operations of a grant project focused on the delivery of a range of prevention and early intervention activities with a population of college students focused on addressing substance use, gambling, mental health, and related concerns under the auspices of the University at Albany's Project ACCESS (Achieving College Completion Through Engaged Support Services) program; interventions include the delivery of Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT for substance use, gambling, risk for suicide, and related concerns, and other evidence-based and evidence-informed prevention, intervention, training and education efforts being evaluated within this project on a large public university campus using a comprehensive public health framework.

     

    The incumbent will be part of a dynamic, progressive, innovative, vibrant, productive, and diverse team of practitioners, translational researchers, and students within the Center for Behavioral Health Promotion and Applied Research, School of Education, an organization that has earned national recognition for its work. The incumbent will be expected to contribute to cohesive functioning among grant staff members and student trainees, members of the population of faculty, staff, and students, and campus and community partners and establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with partners and stakeholders. The position requires occasional work during evenings and weekends to facilitate project-related programming and outreach activities.

     

    + Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols

    + Facilitate project coordination including communicating updates to team members, tracking project progress, scheduling meetings, organizing internal and external training sessions, and coordinating project participant scheduling

    + Develop educational and health communication campaigns and events

    + Author, review, and submit to the Director regulatory compliance documents

    + Maintain precise records of project activity including IRB approvals, informed consent forms, participant records, and other documents.

    + Support data management activities through data entry, coding, and generating reports in compliance with Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) requirements

    + Serve as point of contact and liaison for project team members and university and community partners

    + Schedule staff members and manage staff workloads under the guidance of the Associate Director

    + Interpret and present project findings within project performance reports and to Center leadership, staff, and stakeholders

    + Collaborate with Center leadership and stakeholders (department, university, community) to develop strategic partnerships, and advance the mission of project initiatives

    + Interface with external collaborators to coordinate and conduct project activities

    + Coordinate community advisory board membership and meetings

    + Plan and facilitate professional development opportunities for Center staff

    + Assist with project dissemination efforts including authoring, editing, preparing, and submitting reports, grants, presentations, and publications

    + Maintain documentation and records related to project activities, staff certifications, training completions, operating procedures, etc.

    + Develop and manage project staff schedules and manage project equipment and supplies

    + Oversee Center communications and social media efforts under the guidance of the Associate Director

    + Supervise Center staff as assigned

    Job Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Master's degree or equivalent in human services or public health fields, including public health, psychology, education, social work, or mental health counseling and two years of related experience.

    + Demonstrated knowledge of mental health, substance use, and addiction service delivery within a comprehensive public health framework.

    + Demonstrated knowledge of web-based and social media-delivered interventions addressing substance use, gambling, mental health concerns, risk for suicide, risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, and related risks.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize tasks and accomplish set goals efficiently.

    + Detail-oriented; able to perform complex tasks with a high degree of accuracy.

    + Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community.

    + Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging, relative to their role.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience in the development, implementation, or evaluation of evidence-based and evidence-informed interventions addressing substance use, gambling, risk for suicide, and related concerns among college students.

    + Experience in conducting quantitative and/or qualitative research and/or the application of research to practice.

    + Expertise in organizational-level and systems intervention.

    + Knowledge of online platforms and computer programs used to develop health communication materials.

    Additional Information:

    Salary Range: $63,000-$65,000 (annual)
