Description

Our client, a highly innovative company in the luxury retail space, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Accountant, you’ll be a critical part of the accounting operations—handling everything from monthly close and journal entries to preparing financial reports and partnering cross-functionally on new initiatives. You'll dive into reconciliations, support budget planning, manage commissions/bonuses, and help ensure compliance with GAAP and tax requirements.

Responsibilities of this position will include:

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes

• Reconcile bank, credit card, inventory, and fixed asset accounts

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and adjustments

• Manage sales commission and bonus payouts

• Support financial reporting, audits, and compliance

• Collaborate with AP, FP& A, and other departments to drive process efficiency

• Produce insightful variance analysis and department-level financials

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

• 3+ years of relevant experience with a background in retail, wholesale or eCommerce

• CPA and foundation in public accounting highly preferred

• Advanced Excel skills

• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
