One (1) Secondary Lead Principal
Position Reports To: Deputy Superintendent
Salary/Pay Scale: Stipend (per the GASA contract)
Assignment For: 2025/26
Basic Function:
Within the limits of District policies, procedures, programs and budgets, the Lead Principals support school and/or District administrators in enhancing their professional practice and improving student achievement.
Essential Duties:
+ Work collaboratively with the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, and members of Cabinet to lead and support work related to the District Strategic Plan.
+ Develop, lead, and foster meaningful and relevant professional development for the District Leadership team (shared vision).
+ Communicate key information to GASA members and solicit feedback to inform decision-making.
+ Lead and support colleagues with the School Improvement process.
+ Problem-solve collaboratively and proactively with stakeholders and other union representatives.
+ Support the mentoring program for new GASA members and mentor new administrators.
+ Attend DCIA meetings on a rotational basis, as needed.
+ Serve as the Graduation liaison between schools and District, and coordinate District-level tasks for the June and August Graduations.
+ Serve on key committees as agreed upon.
+ Serve on interview committees for Building and/or District leadership positions.
+ Provide leadership and direction for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the District’s instructional program.
+ Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
Qualifications:
+ Tenured Principal
+ Ability to constructively collaborate and Problem-solve with all departments that impact students and the schools
+ Ability to enthusiastically share and promote the District vision
+ Respect for the opinions and ideas of others
+ Commitment to improving student achievement as aligned with the District Strategic Framework
