Description We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions that align with our organizational goals. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can work collaboratively with engineering teams to ensure optimal cloud performance and security. Based in Chicago, Illinois, this position offers an exciting opportunity to stay at the forefront of cloud technology.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and deploy effective cloud-based solutions.

• Design, plan, and implement scalable cloud applications and infrastructure.

• Manage cloud environments while adhering to strict security protocols and best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues throughout the development lifecycle.

• Provide training and guidance to teams on new cloud-based initiatives.

• Develop and promote best practices for cloud engineering operations.

• Build and design web services, ensuring redundancy and high availability across geographic regions.

• Automate and orchestrate cloud platforms to streamline operations.

• Stay informed about industry advancements and recommend new technologies to enhance organizational efficiency.

• Respond to after-hours support requests as part of an on-call rotation and resolve ServiceNow tickets within established timelines. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

• At least three years of experience in software development using languages like Java, Python, C++, or Ruby.

• Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OpenStack.

• Familiarity with scripting tools like PowerShell, Python, or similar.

• Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP and DNS.

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or similar are highly desirable.
