Description

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with strong expertise in automation and Microsoft Azure to design, implement, and manage enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions. In this role, you’ll be responsible for optimizing system performance, streamlining processes with automation, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of cloud and on-prem environments. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives on innovation, and wants to drive technical excellence across IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Architect, implement, and maintain systems and infrastructure in Azure and hybrid environments.

+ Develop and deploy automation scripts and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.

+ Manage system performance, security, and reliability across servers, networks, and cloud platforms.

+ Support enterprise-wide projects, including migrations, upgrades, and cloud transformations.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in on-premises and cloud environments.

+ Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and automation scripts.

+ Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices for system engineering and cloud automation.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

+ 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Senior Systems Engineer.

+ Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, identity).

+ Expertise in automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, ARM templates, etc.).

+ Experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory.

+ Solid understanding of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).

+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

+ Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

+ Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/Architect.

+ Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.

+ Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Splunk, etc.).

+ Background in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
