Job Title: Fabrication Welder

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Fabrication Welder where you will have the opportunity to work in a small, custom job shop specializing in carbon steel. Your role will involve reading welding symbols, fabricating, and assembling metal frames, as well as operating various machinery such as press brakes, saws, and punches.

Responsibilities

+ Fabricate and assemble carbon steel components.

+ Read and interpret welding symbols and blueprints accurately.

+ Operate machinery including press brakes, saws, and punches.

+ Perform Mig and Tig welding as needed.

+ Ensure quality and precision in fabrication and assembly tasks.

+ Pass a 1G weld test on flat and uphill positions.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in Mig welding.

+ Strong fabrication skills.

+ Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately.

+ Experience in a machine shop environment.

+ Capability to pass a 1G weld test.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Tig welding is advantageous.

+ Millwright skills are desirable.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate-controlled steel distribution site. The shift is Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 3 PM, with a paid 30-minute lunch break on site.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winder, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
