    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team specializing in commercial foundation installation, bridge construction, and road repairs. We are seeking motivated laborers with general construction experience, particularly in concrete work.     Responsibilities

    + Clean up job site and maintain a tidy work environment.

    + Transport concrete using wheelbarrows from the truck to the designated area.

    + Assist foreman/supervisor with various tasks as needed.

    + Perform basic labor tasks such as digging holes, sweeping, moving materials, and site clean-up.

    + Be prepared to lift up to fifty pounds consistently.

    + Participate in bridge and road construction projects across various sites in the Hampton Roads area.

    + Travel to construction sites in the D.C., NC, and SC areas as required.

    Essential Skills

    + General construction experience with a focus on concrete.

    + Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks.

    + Reliable transportation to travel to various job sites.

    + Motivation and ambition to learn and grow within the company.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with concrete finishing is highly desirable.

    + Backhoe or skid steer experience is a plus.

    + Background in construction and foundation work is preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    Work at various construction sites, primarily focusing on new commercial building projects. The standard work hours are from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with the potential for 5-10 hours of overtime. The dress code requires appropriate construction attire, and you will be working primarily outdoors in a hands-on environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $20.00/hr.
