Job Title: 3rd Shift - Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for checking the work order and blueprint to determine the parts to be manufactured and the daily production quota. You will be involved in setting up machines and operating various equipment such as the Brake Press, Fiber Laser, Die Stamp, spot welder, and punch press. Your role includes visually and physically inspecting each piece of metal to ensure it meets specifications, with no defects like dents or improper bends. Additionally, you will use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures, and you must be capable of lifting 40+ pounds daily.
Responsibilities
+ Check work orders and blueprints for production details.
+ Set up and operate machines, including Brake Press, Fiber Laser, Die Stamp, and others.
+ Inspect metal pieces for specifications and defects.
+ Use micrometers, calipers, and tape measures for precise measurements.
+ Lift and handle metal sheets weighing 40+ pounds.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Experience with machine operation, specifically with micrometers and calipers.
+ Minimum of 1 year operating a machine and using micrometers and calipers.
+ Experience with CNC and fabrication processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 1 year of experience running a press.
+ Familiarity with laser cutting, press brake, TIG welding, and punch press operations.

Work Environment
This position operates on the 3rd shift from 10 PM to 6 AM, Sunday night to Friday morning, with 5-10 hours of expected overtime. The facility is one of the nicest, cleanest, and climate-controlled shops in Wisconsin, boasting a health clinic, a great break room, and the opportunity to work alongside 2-3 other employees in a collaborative pod setting.

This is a direct placement position based out of Madison, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
