    Job Description:

    Role Summary/Purpose:

    The Analytics Data Steward - Records & Information Lifecycle Management will be responsible for supporting the execution and monitoring of ILM capabilities and services across Synchrony's record repositories with a focus on the cloud environment.

     

    This role will ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, and state record and information regulations, help mitigate information risk, and promote adherence to ILM policy and standards throughout the enterprise. The analyst will work closely with ILM Lead Record Stewards, and other business and technical teams to maintain effective lifecycle management of data and records.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    + Execute Information Lifecycle Management capabilities and services across data lifecycle stages in support of records migrations to Cloud environments.

    + Track and monitor data retention and disposal workflows of Synchrony's records and information management activity across repositories storing SYF records & information

    + Liaise with technical asset and business owners to ensure adherence to ILM policy; and coordinate updates to record repository inventories.

    + Provide advisory and training support to ILM Record Stewards/Trustees and other relevant stakeholders regarding ILM requirements and best practices.

    + Assist in identifying, assessing, and escalating ILM risks and compliance issues to ILM leadership.

    + Support ILM control self-assessment activities and contribute to broader ILM program development and continuous improvement initiatives.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data governance, IT, and compliance to embed ILM practices in enterprise data processes.

    + Communicate ILM statuses, issues, and progress clearly to stakeholders and contribute to reporting requirements.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or minimum 1+ years of experience in data management or information lifecycle management (ILM); or in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a High School Diploma /GED and 4+ years of equivalent experience in data management or information lifecycle management

    + 1+ years of hands-on experience in information lifecycle management (ILM), risk/record management, or information governance

    + 1+ years of experience working as a liaison across business and IT teams on data-related projects.

    + Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance related to data, records and/or information management.

    + Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and enterprise data lifecycle management concepts.

    Desired Characteristics:

    + Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Information Management, or a related quantitative field.

    + 1+ years' experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and enterprise data lifecycle management concepts.

    + 2+ years of hands-on experience in information lifecycle management (ILM), risk/record management, or information governance, **preferably in financial services, banking, retail, technology, or loyalty sectors.**

    + 2+ years of experience working as a liaison across business and IT teams on data-related projects.

    + Professional experience within retail banking, payments, and relevant regulatory environments including regulatory frameworks and compliance related to records and information management at international, federal, and state levels

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Adaptability and openness to feedback and coaching.

     

    Grade/Level: 09

     

    The salary range for this position is **85,000.00 - 140,000.00** USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

     

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

     

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    + You must be 18 years or older

    + You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    + You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

    + You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

    + New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
