    Job Title: Quality Inspector

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced 1st shift Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong in quality assurance and control.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and follow Quality Management Systems (QMS) to perform inspections.

    + Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other tools.

    + Compare measurements with engineering drawings and customer specifications.

    + Perform first article inspections and prepare dimensional reports.

    + Conduct 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections, with occasional receiving inspections.

    + Conduct process capability studies as needed.

    + Record non-conformances through the Material Review Board (MRB) process and alert production teams.

    + Maintain documentation, including traceability records and data entry.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure compliance with quality standards.

    + Understand and apply the person standards, distinguishing between requirements and acceptable deviations.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector.

    + Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

    + Experience in a regulated environment, ideally the person standards, with flexibility in AS standards.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + First Article Inspection (FAI) experience and reporting.

    + Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), particularly Hexagon, Discovery 2, and PolyWorks, is a major advantage.

    Work Environment

     

    This role operates within a standard shop environment, requiring movement between various inspection areas, including the shop floor and inspection rooms. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, with potential for 9-10 hour shifts. A half-day on Saturdays is preferred but not mandatory.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $63000.00/yr.

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in New Britain,CT.
