Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting equipment in a plating, coating, or powder coating environment, focusing heavily on electrical systems. The successful candidate will train under the current lead maintenance technician and take over responsibilities upon their retirement.

Responsibilities

+ Perform electrical troubleshooting including sensors, relays, motors, 480V, 3 phase and single phase motors.

+ Use volt meters extensively to diagnose electrical issues.

+ Conduct mechanical troubleshooting with hydraulics and pneumatics.

+ Engage in welding and fabrication tasks as needed.

+ Handle panel wiring and troubleshooting without diagrams for older machines.

+ Provide solutions to complex problems through excellent troubleshooting skills.

Essential Skills

+ Background in plating, coating, or powder coating industry.

+ Heavy electrical knowledge and experience in rewiring and panels.

+ Proficiency in using volt meters for diagnostics.

+ Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.

+ Experience with PLC troubleshooting and maintenance repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Welder/Fabricator experience.

+ Facilities maintenance skills, including plumbing.

+ Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

+ Experience in building maintenance is a plus.

Work Environment

The position is based in a plating facility with good circulation but not the cleanest environment. The work shift is from 7am to 4pm/4:30pm, totaling 45-50 hours a week. While primarily working on the 1st shift, occasional off-shift calls may occur. Work boots are required, and employees must bring their own tools, which can be stored securely onsite.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
