Job Title: Hardware Test Engineer
Job Description
The Hardware Test Engineer will execute tasks under the direction of a Hardware Test Engineer, focusing on testing hardware and electrical components of robots, subsystems, and peripherals. The role involves executing testing strategies and verifying functionality, reliability, and performance across a wide range of hardware including actuators, limbs, torsos, sensors, charge docks, and batteries. This is a 6-month contract role with a strong possibility of extension or conversion.
Responsibilities
+ Execute tasks as directed by a Senior Hardware Test Engineer.
+ Test hardware and electrical components of robots, subsystems, and peripherals.
+ Develop and implement testing strategies.
+ Verify the functionality, reliability, and performance of hardware components.
+ Conduct tests on actuators, limbs, torsos, sensors, charge docks, and batteries.
Required Skills
+ Proficiency in Python and Linux.
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
+ 1-3 years of experience in a test function, particularly hardware testing at the PCB level and system level testing on electro-mechanical products.
+ Experience with Python scripting for hardware or electro-mechanical systems testing.
+ Experience following test plans.
+ Basic knowledge of Linux OS.
+ Experience with electrical test equipment such as DAC, Test Stand, Oscilloscope, DMM, etc.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with thermal, vibration, and EMC testing.
+ Experience with safety-critical systems.
Work Environment
The role requires being on-site 5 days a week, with significant time spent on the manufacturing floor, working hands-on with robots.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Salem, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $52.89/hr.
