Job Title: Test Technician IIJob Description
The Technician II, Test is responsible for developing test plans and conducting tests on mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems under the direction of a senior engineer or manager. This role includes leading the development of fixtures and data acquisition needs to complete testing. The technician will provide engineering support to internal and external customers and perform other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and execute test plans for mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.
+ Lead the development of fixtures and data acquisition requirements for testing.
+ Provide engineering support to both internal and external customers.
+ Select appropriate equipment to meet test criteria.
+ Write comprehensive test reports.
+ Collaborate with team members to clarify requirements and develop effective solutions.
+ Follow established test practices, procedures, and reporting processes.
Essential Skills
+ Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and schematic systems.
+ Proficiency in MS Office suite and business software.
+ Working knowledge of Loram custom software, including IFS and WebFocus.
+ 3+ years of test engineering experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design, Electrical/Electronics, Fluid Power Technology, or a related field.
+ Must obtain and maintain railroad safety training and credentials.
Work Environment
The role involves office deskwork, requiring sitting, walking, and using a phone and computer. The technician may need to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally. The position requires up to 20% travel, including international travel. The candidate must be able to tolerate variable and sometimes challenging conditions during visits or inspections of company equipment in a railroad environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Hamel, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
