    Job Title: Civil Designer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Civil Designer to join our team in Fort Mill, near Baxter Village. The successful candidate will support the design and plan preparation for civil site development projects. Your primary responsibility will be to develop Construction Documents under the guidance of the Project Engineer or Project Manager. This role involves working on various civil design projects, including site development, stormwater infrastructure, grading and drainage, erosion control, and utility designs.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop Construction Documents for civil site development projects.

    + Create site layouts and design plans independently and under the guidance of Project Engineers.

    + Develop preliminary grading and utility designs.

    + Assemble and coordinate plan sets with multiple engineering disciplines, ensuring the inclusion of applicable reference files.

    + Perform redline corrections and apply standardized drawing techniques.

    + Demonstrate expertise with CAD modeling and design tools.

    + Work with client-specific CAD standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D and MicroStation InRoads.

    + Experience with AutoCAD and design software tools.

    + Ability to develop site layouts and preliminary designs.

    + Experience in civil site design, land development, and construction document preparation.

    + Capability in performing basic quantity and geometry calculations.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Associate's Degree in civil drafting/design or equivalent experience.

    + 4+ years of experience in land development design preferred, but not required.

    + Experience with an engineering consulting firm.

    + Local experience is preferred but not essential.

    + EIT certification is a plus.

    + Strong work ethic and positive attitude are highly valued.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in an office located in Fort Mill. The team recently moved into a new office building, currently accommodating about 30 people. The work environment is supportive, with opportunities for coaching and training for those with less experience but a strong work ethic.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Tega Cay, South Carolina.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
