Job Title: Substation Drafter
Job Description
The Substation Drafter will be responsible for creating, editing, and modifying CAD drawings while adhering to company standards, practices, and procedures. This role involves collaborating in a team environment to coordinate the filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents. Precision and accuracy are crucial in creating design drawings, and the candidate will be expected to plot and check drawings. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings.
+ Apply company CAD standards, practices, and procedures.
+ Collaborate in a team environment.
+ Coordinate the filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents.
+ Work with precision and accuracy in creating design drawings.
+ Plot and check drawings.
+ Take on other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of Drafting/CAD experience in Substation Design or related field.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
+ Basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities.
+ Attention to detail, self-motivation, and teamwork.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam.
+ Willingness to learn and grow.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's degree in Drafting and Design or Engineering.
+ 3D Modeling experience (Revit, Civil 3D, Inventor, etc.).
+ Good knowledge of industry and technology trends specific to substations.
+ Familiarity with the NEC and National Electrical Safety Code.
Work Environment
This is an in-office position where you will partner with a team of over 15 members located between Lansdale, PA, and Lake Mary, FL offices. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
