Job Description

Avionics Technicians will perform troubleshooting, installations, repairs, maintenance, and modifications to the avionics and electrical systems of F/A-18 aircraft. The role includes upgrading Radar Packages, Communications/Comm Sec equipment, and possibly other systems.

Responsibilities

+ Perform troubleshooting and repairs on avionics systems.

+ Install and maintain avionics and electrical systems on F/A-18 aircraft.

+ Conduct modifications including upgrades to radar and communication systems.

+ Work on fiber optic cable installations and schematic interpretations.

+ Carry out O-Level (Operational Level) Maintenance.

Essential Skills

+ 5 - 7 years of depot/heavy maintenance experience on aircraft avionics, with fighter jet experience preferred.

+ Experience with F-18 aircraft is highly preferred.

+ Eligible for SECRET clearance.

+ Eligible for a Boeing badge.

+ Navy Ratings of AE or AT preferred.

+ Proficient in avionics troubleshooting and installation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Navy Ratings of AE or AT.

+ Experience with magic box (NAV) systems is highly preferred.

Work Environment

Must be open to working either 1st or 2nd shift. The position involves working inside a non-climate-controlled hangar and occasionally on the flightline. The majority of work will be conducted indoors, mostly shielded from the elements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of NA, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
