Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will accurately set up new equipment out of the box following manufacturer's guidelines. Your role includes performing equipment setup according to specifications, preparing demo units, and documenting issues clearly and concisely. You will also be responsible for grinding bed knives, reels, blades, and setting the Height of Cut (HOC) to customer specifications. This position requires computer skills for parts lookup and communication, and involves assembling new equipment accessories to customer specifications. Pay is $25/hr

Responsibilities

+ Accurately set up new equipment out of the box following manufacturer's guidelines.

+ Perform equipment setup according to specifications.

+ Prepare demo units according to specifications.

+ Document issues in a clear and concise manner.

+ Grind bed knives, reels, blades, and set the Height of Cut (HOC) to customer specifications.

+ Use the computer for parts lookup and maintain communication through email.

+ Assemble new equipment accessories to customer specifications and within SST.

+ Ensure equipment passes inspection through an internal Quality Control Tech.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency with hand and power tools.

+ Experience in mechanical assembly.

+ Ability to read manuals and schematics for electrical and hydraulic systems.

+ Basic knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in mechanic repair and maintenance is a plus.

+ Familiarity with turf equipment is advantageous but not required.

Work Environment

You will work in a hot warehouse environment without air conditioning. The shift is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role requires heavy physical effort, including balancing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects weighing 20 to 70 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. The warehouse may expose you to extreme temperatures, moderate odors, fumes, dust, dirt, wetness, humidity, machinery, noise, and at times, insects, birds, and other small animals due to open overhead doors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DEERFIELD BEACH, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
