Job Title: Systems Test Engineer III
Job Description
Join our dynamic test team as a Systems Test Engineer III, where you will be at the forefront of designing electronic test solutions for performance verification of Avionics systems. Collaborate with Avionics and PCBA design engineers to define test processes, support system bring-up, and conduct functional and environmental testing, as well as spacecraft validation. This role offers a challenging and fast-paced environment, working with thought leaders across multiple technology areas.
Responsibilities
+ Design Avionics Test systems, working with electronic hardware, embedded software, firmware, and test rack hardware to create complex systems for evaluating avionics electrical systems.
+ Collaborate with PCBA and subsystem design engineers on concept development, production design, integration, and testing of spacecraft electrical ground support equipment (EGSE).
+ Design and implement EGSE for component and space vehicle test activities.
+ Support integration of hardware in the loop and spacecraft simulators.
+ Troubleshoot issues during functional checkout tests by interfacing with lab equipment.
+ Document EGSE configurations and communicate with rack integrators and contract manufacturers.
+ Conduct internal and external test systems design reviews.
+ Develop EGSE solutions for new projects, perform engineering analyses for systems and circuits, document findings, communicate results to engineering staff, and present technical information.
+ Communicate effectively with colleagues and management throughout solution development and deployment cycles.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
+ Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
+ Proficiency in test system architecture definition.
+ Experience with PCB testing, test rack design, and integration.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and designs to colleagues across disciplines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field.
+ 5+ years of electrical engineering work experience in Aerospace, Consumer Electronics, Power Electronics, Robotics, Automotive, and/or Communications fields.
+ Experience in development and testing of satellite bus systems.
+ Proficiency with schematic and layout ECAD tools.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $68.69/hr.
