Job Description: Quality Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team with working hours from 7:30am to 4pm, offering some flexibility. This role has a strong potential to lead to a permanent position. The Quality Engineer will engage in quality-related activities associated with the nonconforming material control process, perform root cause analysis, and execute advanced quality planning processes including First Article Inspections, FMEA's, and PPAP's. Additionally, the role involves responsibilities in continuous improvement and working with customers and suppliers on audits as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Perform quality-related activities associated with the nonconforming material control process.
+ Conduct root cause analysis.
+ Execute advanced quality planning processes, including First Article Inspections, FMEA's, and PPAP's.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Collaborate with customers and suppliers regarding audits as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in quality engineering and root cause analysis.
+ Experience in quality control and auditing.
+ Knowledge of PPAP and AS9100 standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ For QE Level 1: An associate degree with 3+ years of quality engineering experience.
+ For QE Level 2: A bachelor's degree with 5+ years of quality engineering experience.
+ Experience in quality management systems, document management, and audit processes.
+ Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of MS Project and Visio is a plus.
+ Green Belt certification or equivalent CI/RCCA certification preferred.
+ Lead auditor certification preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
