Job Title: Systems/Certification Engineer
Job Description
Join our team as a Systems/Certification Engineer and contribute to exciting programs for major aircraft manufacturers. Work with a respected leader in avionics technology, focusing on the design, testing, and innovation of aircraft electronic systems. This role is based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and offers an opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing company known for revolutionizing data management systems on aircraft.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as the primary customer interface on technical topics.
+ Develop derived system requirements and implement monitoring and built-in test functions in hardware and software.
+ Utilize the DOORS requirements tracing tool and other resources to meet program milestones.
+ Participate in proposal efforts by deriving technical solutions, communicating, and documenting the technical approach for proposals.
+ Prepare and present technical data to both internal and external customers.
+ Create, execute, and track project schedules and technical customer deliverables.
+ Execute the analysis, design, testing, and integration required to define and support assigned products or systems.
+ Coordinate with various engineering functions including digital and analog circuit design, mechanical design, component engineering, reliability, software design, and certification testing.
+ Provide engineering expertise in the maintenance and support of legacy products.
+ Support the development of documentation necessary for FAA certification and new product release.
Essential Skills
+ MS or BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience in avionic system design and development.
+ Understanding of embedded software and/or hardware engineering.
+ Experience with aircraft systems, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RTCA DO-178 / DO-254, DOORS, MIL-STD-461 / MIL-STD-810 / DO-160.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
+ Highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
+ Demonstrated ability to work on a team with other departments.
+ Demonstrated time management and project management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with brushless DC motors and/or third-party Apple accessories.
+ Knowledge of DOORS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ FAA certification experience is a strong plus.
Work Environment
This position is 100% on-site at the Eden Prairie, MN location. The role involves working within an engineering environment, focusing on high-tech aerospace aviation projects. The work requires interfacing with customers to ensure satisfaction with technical topics, as well as coordinating testing and meeting certification requirements. The position involves a significant amount of documentation and collaboration with other departments to meet both organizational and customer needs.

This is a Contract position based out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $68.00/hr.
