Position Overview

The BIM Technician will play a critical role in the development and coordination of Building Information Models for electrical systems. This position supports project teams by producing accurate and detailed 3D models, collaborating with design and construction professionals, and ensuring compliance with project standards and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop and maintain BIM models for electrical systems using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

+ Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure model accuracy and constructability.

+ Participate in clash detection and coordination meetings with other trades.

+ Generate detailed drawings, layouts, and documentation from BIM models.

+ Assist in updating models throughout the project lifecycle, including as-built documentation.

+ Ensure adherence to company BIM standards and project-specific requirements.

+ Support prefabrication and installation planning through model-based workflows.

Qualifications

+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.

+ 2+ years of experience in BIM modeling within the electrical contracting or construction industry.

+ Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other BIM-related software.

+ Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.

+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience working on data center projects is a strong plus.

+ Familiarity with BIM 360, Bluebeam, and other construction technology platforms.

+ Knowledge of NEC and other relevant electrical codes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00/hr.
