    We're seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a premier metal recycling plant in the Morrisville PA area.

     

    Shift/Pay: 5 Days a week

     

    7:00AM - 4:00PM@ Monday-Friday (Morning)

     

    Must be flexible to work Saturday (6am-12pm) As Needed

     

    Pay $30-$34 depending on experience

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with potential Saturday shifts from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm. Flexibility is essential as you will diagnose and repair a wide range of mobile equipment, with the exception of the most complex and technical repairs. Your extensive knowledge and experience with internal combustion engines, transmissions, electrical and hydraulic systems will enable you to work independently and ensure the mobile equipment fleet is well-maintained.

    Responsibilities

    + Diagnose, identify, correct, repair, and return equipment to service.

    + Rebuild major components such as engines, transmissions, pumps, cylinders, motors, and electrical systems.

    + Use diagnostic tools including multimeters, computers, gauges, probes, scopes, calipers, and other measurement tools.

    + Utilize torches, presses, pullers, winches, jacks, lifts, and other mechanical devices properly.

    + Direct and oversee 'B' and 'C' mechanics assisting with repairs.

    + Communicate equipment issues and concerns to supervision and external dealers or technicians.

    Skills

    + Extensive experience in mechanical repairs.

    + Proficient in troubleshooting diesel engines and heavy equipment.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and decision-making skills.

    + Ability to perform heavy labor.

    + Organized and self-motivated.

    + Strong safety values.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to work with excavators and caterpillar equipment.

    + Experience with welding.

    + Capability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a dirty but organized environment, primarily outdoors, with shifts during the day and night. Expect hot conditions in the summer and cold in the winter.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morrisville, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
