Job Title: Stick Welder
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Traveling Welders local to the York County area. Candidates should possess 2 to 3 years of experience and will be responsible for tasks such as setting anchor bolts, wedge anchors, and applying epoxy for base plates and sole plates. The role involves welding miscellaneous metals including stairs, railings, ladders, and various steel components, as well as working with carbon steel and processed pipes. This position requires overnight travel with excellent travel incentives, working from project sites across the US. Travel durations may vary, potentially requiring up to three weeks away from home.
Responsibilities
+ Set anchor bolts, wedge anchors, and apply epoxy for base and sole plates.
+ Weld miscellaneous metals such as stairs, railings, ladders, and various steel items.
+ Work with carbon steel and processed pipes.
+ Assist manager/foreman/superintendent as directed.
+ Perform layout using drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
+ Read measuring tools accurately to 1/16” or 1 mm as required.
+ Understand and apply fabrication tolerances as per drawings.
+ Operate welding machines and perform mig/stick/tig welding.
+ Interpret written directions and specifications.
+ Operate equipment such as forklift, telehandler, manlift, overhead crane, metal saw, press brake, and iron worker.
+ Implement basic rigging principles and techniques.
+ Work out-of-town for up to 2 weeks at a time, if required.
+ Comfortably work off-hours to complete projects.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in construction, welding, mig, and stick welding.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Knowledge of iron work and rigging.
+ OSHA 10 certification.
+ AWS D1.1 certification.
+ Skill in pneumatics, fabrication, installation, and structural steel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Competence in using measuring tools such as tape, scale, angle finder, protractor, and square.
+ Training in basic rigging principles.
+ Willingness to travel and work in various locations.

Work Environment
Work in industrial manufacturing plants for new construction projects, either in small teams of 2 to 3 or larger teams of 10 to 20. Shifts can vary by project, requiring flexibility to work both 1st and 2nd shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Dallastown, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $54.00/hr.
