Job Title: Visual Inspector
Job Description
The visual inspector plays a crucial role in the quality department by addressing defects such as paint scratches and dents occurring during the assembly and manufacturing process. The primary objective is to identify the stages where these defects occur and implement strategies to prevent them. The inspector will document defect locations on paper and apply a protective plastic film to parts of the truck body to minimize damage. Although the role requires working independently, it also involves communication with multiple departments.
Responsibilities
+ Visually inspect truck bodies for defects such as scratches, dents, and dings.
+ Document locations of defects on paper.
+ Apply plastic film to truck body parts to prevent defects.
+ Communicate findings and collaborate with various departments to solve problems.
+ Work at heights, harnessed for safety, to inspect truck tops.
Essential Skills
+ 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong attention to detail for identifying visual defects.
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills for documentation and collaboration.
+ Comfortable working at heights and using safety equipment.
+ Basic computer operation skills for documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous quality inspection experience in any industry.

Work Environment
The role is based in a very large, clean, and safety-conscious facility. Inspectors may need to use a flashlight for better visibility of defects. The work schedule offers flexibility with two shifts: 6am-2pm Monday to Friday and 2pm-midnight Monday to Thursday.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.61 - $22.77/hr.
