    Job Title: CNC Machinist & Programmer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist & Programmer to join our advanced manufacturing team, specializing in the fabrication of precision tooling for the glass industry. This role is essential to developing and producing custom tooling solutions that support glass forming, cutting, and finishing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC programming capabilities, hands-on machining experience, and a deep understanding of materials and tolerances relevant to glass production.

    Responsibilities

    + Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to fabricate tooling components.

    + Design and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, and SolidCAM.

    + Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to determine tooling specifications.

    + Select appropriate materials and tooling strategies based on application requirements like graphite, aluminum, and stainless steel.

    + Ensure tooling meets dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and durability standards for glass processing.

    + Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tooling designs and machining processes.

    + Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and CMM.

    + Maintain detailed documentation of tooling designs, revisions, and machining parameters.

    + Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment.

    + Uphold safety standards and best practices in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

    Skills

    + 3-5 years of CNC machining experience.

    + Ability to program using Mastercam.

    + Proficiency in CNC programming and G-code.

    + Strong understanding of machining principles, material properties, and tolerances.

    + Experience with tooling for glass forming, cutting, or finishing processes is highly desirable.

    + Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and 3D models.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + CNC Machines are all Haas.

    + High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering preferred.

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a full-time position with working days from Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flex scheduling is available upon request, tailored to fit the needs of the company.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vineland, New Jersey.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
