    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    Operate pre-set press brakes, turrets, spot welders, punch presses, roll formers, and other machinery to produce parts that meet customer quality and delivery requirements. Conduct quality inspections of parts, perform tooling changes as necessary, and utilize micrometers, calipers, and tape measures while working from blueprints.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate various machinery including press brakes, turrets, spot welders, and punch presses.

    + Perform quality inspections of produced parts to ensure they meet customer standards.

    + Execute tooling changes when required.

    + Use micrometers, calipers, and tape measures accurately.

    + Work from blueprints to guide production.

    + Opportunity to advance to Machine Operator Fabrication 2, involving more setup and program editing.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 year of experience with Brake Press, turret, punch press, or CNC operations.

    + 2 years of experience using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.

    + Proficiency in machine operation, blueprint reading, and fabrication.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with press brake, punch press, laser, and CNC fabrication is beneficial.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a large facility with 400 employees across three shifts. Work the 2nd shift from 2pm to midnight, Monday through Thursday, and every Friday from noon to 9pm. Every other Saturday work is expected from noon to 9pm. The facility offers a supportive work environment with an on-site nurse and wellness programs to encourage a healthy and happy workforce.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35000.00 - $45000.00/yr.

    Growth opps to move up quickly into a Machine Op 2 that comes with a $1.50 raise

    Annual raises: 2-4%

    Goal sharing: monthly incentive based off of efficiency, delivery, safety and scrap. Can be up to an extra $1.80/hr
