Job Title: Production Assembler - Cables
Job Description
Join our cable and harness assembly team in a long-term role focused on interconnect production. While electronics experience is a plus, this position is dedicated to the cable and harness department rather than transitioning to the PCB department.
Responsibilities
+ Function as a participating team member.
+ Hand solder wires to electrical connectors and PCBs.
+ Assemble electromechanical assemblies as required.
+ Review and complete required production documentation.
+ Update job status in ABAS Systems as required.
+ Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
+ Perform related duties as required.
Essential Skills
+ Accurate visual acuity for color and depth perception.
+ Vision sufficient to accurately measure in fraction of an inch.
+ Manual dexterity to handle small hand tools including soldering iron.
+ Read and understand moderately complex assembly instructions.
+ Comprehend written and verbal assignments.
+ Ability to work as a team member in a diverse work environment.
+ Advanced soldering and repair/rework skills.
+ Ability to use solder extractor tools.
+ Basic computer skills with accurate data entry.
+ Suggest ideas to improve efficiency.
+ Good math skills with the ability to count and measure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in hand soldering of various types; solder cups, J-Hook, through hole.
+ Proficiency in most OJT processes in at least 2 production areas.
+ Successful completion of OJT crimp training.
+ Successful completion of ESD and solder training (if/as required).
+ Minimum education: High School Diploma/GED.

Work Environment
Work in a clean electronics manufacturing facility where each employee has their own work station to complete their portion of the assemblies. Employees are required to wear a smock and shoe straps while on the production floor. The work schedule is Monday-Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm in a production environment where the noise level is generally moderate.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Meridian, Idaho.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
