    Sr. Civil Designer

     

    We are looking for a skilled and motivated Civil Designer to join our team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and design leads to deliver high-quality civil design solutions. You’ll play a key part in translating technical requirements into actionable design tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring client expectations are met with precision and clarity.

     

    What You’ll Do

     

    + Coordinate with mechanical and mapping leads to align on deliverables and design updates.

    + Work with grading designers to refine site surfaces and alignments.

    + Develop accurate hour estimates for client proposals.

    + Ensure timely completion of design tasks by mapping teams.

    + Interpret engineering and project manager markups and requests for design execution.

    + Communicate effectively with engineers and project managers to resolve questions and scheduling issues.

    + Collaborate with project managers to gather and integrate survey data.

    + Interface directly with clients to present design concepts and set up project templates.

    + Organize sheet sets according to client standards and coordinate across disciplines.

    + Participate in project meetings to review design changes and incorporate feedback.

    + Consult with department managers before implementing major design revisions.

    + Ensure all changes meet client standards and align with resource and scheduling constraints.

    + Use CAD tools to produce detailed project drawings and support cross-functional teams.

    + Conduct self-reviews for quality assurance prior to peer review.

    + Mentor junior designers and perform QA/QC on team outputs.

     

    What You Bring

     

    + Proficiency in CAD, Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related design software.

    + Strong experience in civil survey/drafting, grading, drainage, pipeline routing, and land development.

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience with Civil 3D.

    + Experience working on oil and natural gas pipeline projects.

    + Solid command of Microsoft Office tools.

    + Ability to mentor others and conduct thorough quality checks.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with GIS software is a plus.

    + Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position offers flexibility for remote work, with in-office presence required one day per week.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
