Join a leading company in the heavy trucking industry, focusing on truck landing gear and coupling equipment. We seek a Mechatronics Engineer to ensure designs meet U.S. standards, handle customer installations, and troubleshoot. This role involves integrating sensors, mechanical, and electrical components for automatic couplers without direct design work but includes product development and design reviews using Creo.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure designs adhere to U.S. standards.
+ Handle customer installations and troubleshooting.
+ Integrate sensors, mechanical, and electrical components for automatic couplers.
+ Conduct product development and design reviews using Creo.
+ Travel to customer sites for installations, approximately 5-15% annually.
Essential Skills
+ 5-10 years of mechatronics engineering experience in mechanical and electrical design and testing.
+ Proficiency in Creo or ProE CAD software.
+ Experience with sensor technology in the automotive or heavy trucking industry.
+ Knowledge of FMEA, machine design, and manufacturing processes.
+ Understanding of CAN Bus systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Engineering degree preferred; candidates with an associate degree and relevant experience will be considered.
+ Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, including wiring and voltage.
+ Enjoys tinkering and fixing things.
+ Experience in machine design and manufacturing within the automotive or heavy trucking sector.
Work Environment
This primarily on-site role offers 1 to 2 days of remote work if needed after a training period.
The company boasts a large manufacturing facility with a collaborative environment, including a team of 12 design engineers.

Some travel to customer sites is required, with travel frequency at approximately 5-15%.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $52.00/hr.
