Description
The Mechanical Project Engineer will lead HVAC system design for a variety of building types including industrial, institutional, educational, hospitality, governmental, residential, retail, and commercial facilities. This role involves overseeing design processes, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. Lead HVAC system design and engineering energy analysis Supervise staff executing calculations, design, and detailing Manage development of construction and equipment installation documents Perform and review design calculations and ensure technical accuracy Coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders Conduct field surveys and prepare reports Assist in cost estimation and specification development Review shop drawings for compliance with design standards

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (Mechanical emphasis) PE license required 7–10 years of experience in consulting engineering Strong HVAC design expertise including refrigeration, air/water distribution Proficiency in Revit and Trane/Trace or similar software Knowledge of mechanical codes, process piping, plumbing, and fire protection Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00/hr.
