    Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

    Job Description

    The role of the Assistant Project Manager is to support and learn the intricacies of Project Management within our Environmental Construction Department. This fast-paced position offers exposure to construction cost accounting and the project management process. It serves as an excellent entry point and provides the necessary training to transition into a full Project Manager role.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in managing construction projects with a focus on environmental science and civil site development.

    + Support the project management process, including cost accounting and project coordination.

    + Help manage multiple assignments effectively with excellent organizational skills.

    + Coordinate project schedules and oversee change orders and purchase orders.

    + Participate actively in site development activities and ensure compliance with project specifications.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

    + 1-2+ years of progressive experience in construction.

    + Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    + Valid driver’s license.

    + Proficiency in construction accounting software such as Viewpoint is a plus.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in government work is advantageous.

    + Background in civil/site construction with a focus on environmental projects is ideal.

    Work Environment

    The Assistant Project Manager will work on-site daily, with access to a construction trailer. The role requires actively patrolling the site and being involved in the work taking place. Transportation is provided, and there are opportunities for growth, with the potential to transition into a Project Manager role. The company offers profit sharing and prefers to promote from within.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
