Job Title: Clinical Research Nurse - Oncology Job Description
The Clinical Research Coordinator II RN (CRC-II RN) plays a crucial role within the Research Institute, responsible for planning, coordinating, evaluating, and performing nursing care for research participants. The position involves collecting data for assigned research projects and ensuring adherence to study-specific protocol guidelines, FDA regulations, and ICH/GCP guidelines. The role demands patient advocacy and safe care delivery while maintaining clinical competencies and ensuring a respectful environment for all participants.
Responsibilities
+ Plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care for research participants in accordance with study protocols.
+ Communicate effectively with Principal Investigators, Sub-Investigators, Clinical Research Lead, and support staff.
+ Advocate for patient safety and rights, ensuring informed consent and compliance with FDA and ICH/GCP guidelines.
+ Maintain clinical competencies, including physical assessment, phlebotomy, and IV insertion.
+ Practice Universal Precautions and ensure HIPAA regulations are followed.
+ Maintain a clean and prepared clinical space, performing set-up and turnover procedures as needed.
+ Participate in training programs to maintain licensure and enhance skills.
+ Review informed consent documents with study candidates and ensure ongoing patient advocacy.
+ Manage multiple clinical trial protocols, ensuring accurate documentation and confidentiality.
+ Promote PI oversight and communicate any deviations or issues affecting trial integrity or participant safety.
+ Coordinate support staff and laboratory technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality research outcomes.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in clinical research, particularly in oncology and clinical trials.
+ Ability to perform chart reviews and pre-screen patients.
+ Proficiency in data management and EDC systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to assist physicians and CRNs with minor procedures.
+ Adaptability to integrate into various clinical settings.
+ Demonstrated skills in physical assessment, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and drug administration.
+ Associate degree in Nursing.
+ Minimum 2 years of clinical research experience.
+ Active State of FL license as a Registered Nurse.
+ BLS certification.
Work Environment
This role is based in a hospital environment, requiring interaction with diverse clinical settings and adherence to hospital protocols.

This is a Permanent position based out of Altamonte Springs, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $98000.00/yr.
