    Job Title: Engineering Manager Job Description

     

    The Engineering Manager will provide leadership, direction, and planning for all Engineering and R&D functions. This role involves the accomplishment of both short- and long-term goals and objectives, including design responsibility for all new unit orders and development projects. Direct responsibility will encompass product development, electrical and mechanical design, drafting, and support for Sales and Manufacturing.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide leadership and direction for Engineering and R&D functions.

    + Plan and accomplish short- and long-term goals and objectives.

    + Oversee design responsibility for all new unit orders and development projects.

    + Manage product development, electrical and mechanical design, and drafting.

    + Support Sales and Manufacturing functions.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.

    + 10+ years of direct engineering experience.

    + Knowledge of ISO 9001 documentation requirements.

    + 5+ years of proven experience leading and managing Engineering or R&D.

    + Demonstrated knowledge and experience using SAP.

    + Experience with process improvements and lean principles.

    + Strong leadership skills with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Master’s Degree preferred.

    + Experience with electric motors and generators preferred.

    + Creative problem-solving skills to identify new alternative materials and solutions.

    + Proficiency in MS Suite programs.

    + Strong presentation skills for all levels of management.

    + Excellent organizational and project management skills.

    + Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The position is located in Northeast Minneapolis and requires domestic and international travel of up to 25%.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $155000.00/yr.

     

    Physical Requirements:• Ability to occasionally ascend/descend scaffolding, ladders or several flights of stairs.• Ability to occasionally lifts and move 25 pounds.

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Minneapolis,MN.
