Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment and plant electrical systems. This role demands a strong working knowledge of PLC hardware and software troubleshooting, electrical standards, and pressure and temperature transmitters.

**Schedule:** 7 am to 4 pm M-F, on call duties in the evenings and some weekends.

**Pay:** 25-34/hr depending on experience

Responsibilities

+ Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and established safe practices, and ensure all team members adhere to the same.

+ Test and troubleshoot high and low voltage motors, circuit breakers, and circuits.

+ Perform PLC, ESP, and VFD setup and troubleshooting.

+ Troubleshoot and calibrate process gas analyzers.

+ Handle piping and wiring tasks.

+ Work with pneumatic and hydraulic controls.

+ Repair and troubleshoot air conditioners.

+ Troubleshoot lights and receptacles.

+ Conduct basic CAN preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Calibrate and troubleshoot field instrumentation for level, pressure, and temperature.

+ Calibrate and troubleshoot weight feeders.

+ Coordinate maintenance and repairs with CEMS technician and Environmental Manager.

+ Maintain and troubleshoot Drag Line.

+ Calibrate and troubleshoot load-out scales.

+ Participate in good housekeeping practices using the 5S Housekeeping program.

+ Assist with other departmental needs as required.

+ Provide instruction, direction, and support to outside contractors for special projects or plant outages.

+ Operate mobile equipment.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Experience with PLC, ESP, and VFD systems.

+ Ability to troubleshoot and calibrate various instrumentation.

+ Strong understanding of safety policies and procedures.

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate degree in electrical or electronics field or equivalent training.

+ Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, and signs.

Work Environment

This role operates in an outdoor shop environment that is not air-conditioned, and it can be dirty and dusty.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sumterville, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
