Job Title: Life Cook

Job Description

The Life Cook is a specialized role focused on preparing safe, nutritious meals for students with food allergies and dietary restrictions. This role operates in a student-facing station to ensure allergen-free food preparation, maintains strict sanitation standards, and provides personalized service with a high level of independence and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare meals using allergen-free ingredients according to dietary guidelines and student needs.

+ Maintain a clean, sanitized, and cross-contamination-free cooking environment.

+ Communicate clearly with students about ingredients and preparation methods.

+ Manage daily prep and service independently, ensuring consistency and safety.

+ Follow university and regulatory food safety protocols, especially regarding allergens.

Work Environment

The Life Cook operates in a student-facing station, ensuring allergen-free food preparation. The role requires maintaining strict sanitation standards and offers a high degree of independence. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenvale, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
