    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled cook to join our team in a corporate cafeteria setting. You will be responsible for preparing meals by following recipes, cutting produce, meats, and vegetables, and assisting in the preparation of soups and salads. Additionally, you will ensure the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces and areas, and provide high-quality customer service while effectively communicating with both staff and customers.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare meals by following provided recipes.

    + Cut and prepare produce, meats, and vegetables.

    + Assist in making soups and salads.

    + Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces and areas.

    + Provide quality customer service.

    + Communicate effectively with staff and customers.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in food safety practices.

    + Strong cooking and food preparation skills.

    + Ability to follow recipes accurately.

    + Excellent knife skills for cutting vegetables, meats, and produce.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + At least 6 months of cooking or food experience.

    + Completion of culinary or cooking school.

    + Experience as a line cook or in any food service industry such as fast food, restaurants, or hotels.

    Work Environment

     

    Work within two cafeterias located on the Rio Rancho Intel site, with potential expansion to a new cafeteria in the future. Shifts include Monday to Friday from 1pm to 9pm, Sunday to Thursday from 5:30pm to 1:30am, and Tuesday to Saturday from 6am to 2pm. The environment offers a structured and supportive setting for culinary professionals.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
