Job Title: Operator (Sewer)
Job Description
This position involves sewing large panels, with the largest part being a team sew measuring 58 inches long. The work includes handling 27 panels for NFL flags, which is not the typical daily build. Candidates will operate a Juki sewing machine and create 2-inch wide seams. Responsibilities encompass producing, repairing, altering, and enhancing finished goods such as personal protective equipment and banners.
Responsibilities
+ Operate a variety of sewing machines including Single Needle, Double Needle, and others.
+ Follow and create patterns and specifications.
+ Perform repairs, alterations, and add accessory items to personal protective equipment.
+ Work in a fast-paced environment meeting quick turnaround times.
+ Use handheld hardware and tools as necessary.
+ Assist with material inventory counts.
+ Support the Decor Department to meet company objectives.
+ Assist in the production of large/high quantity orders.
Essential Skills
+ Sewing experience on various industrial sewing machines.
+ Ability to operate sewing machines for large panels in sports flags and signs.
+ Experience with single needle and double needle machines.
+ Capability to cut, measure, and grommet.
+ Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to lift and handle elements weighing up to 30 pounds.
+ Standing for long periods of time.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior work history with heavy fabric and hardware.
+ Experience with alterations.
+ Comfortable working in a fully air-conditioned environment.
+ 100% Spanish speaking is acceptable with on-site translators.

Work Environment
The work environment is casual with no uniforms required, allowing plain shirts, shorts, or pants. Offensive tattoos must be covered. The facility is fully air-conditioned and operates on a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Candidates willing to work on the 2nd shift will receive additional compensation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
