    CNC Programmer

    Job Description

    The CNC Programmer will be designing and fabricating tools and parts in accordance with work order instructions. Responsibilities include layout work, machining, fastening, fabrication, assembling, drilling, filing, tapping, routing, sawing, bonding, and welding.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide tool design input to engineers to optimize tool designs.

    + Identify and pursue improvements in tool fabrication methods and designs.

    + Maintain close working relationships with engineering, quality, and production personnel concerning tooling needs.

    + Serve as an interface between the tooling department and all other functional areas.

    + Order materials for tool fabrication through the requisition process.

    + Draw, read, and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings.

    + Utilize precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and gauges to verify tool dimensions.

    + Manufacture, repair, and rework machine components for maintenance.

    Essential Skills

    + Five years of relevant work experience and/or training.

    + Technical certification or associate degree in machining/manufacturing preferred.

    + Minimum of five years of experience with G-Code and CNC programming.

    + Proficiency with Mastercam, CATIA, or similar CAD/CAM system required.

    + Familiarity with Fanuc mill controls.

    + Creative and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

    + Effective communication with internal and external customers.

    + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, timekeeping, and work order systems.

    + Acceptable vision test results (as applicable).

    + Proficiency in English reading, writing, and verbal communication.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with CNC, mechanical programming, machine setup, and operation.

    + Familiarity with lathe and press machines.

    + Ability to interpret blueprints.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $71760.00 - $93600.00/yr.

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in White Marsh,MD.
