Job Title: Structural Welder
Job Description
As a Structural Welder, you will be responsible for the layout, fitting, fabrication, and welding from engineered drawings. This role requires proficiency in MIG welding and the use of basic hand tools such as tape measures and digital calipers. You must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, while possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
+ Layout, fit, fabricate, and weld from engineered drawings.
+ Perform MIG and stick welding on structural steel.
+ Work proficiently with hand tools and power tools.
+ Collaborate with a certified crane operator to install steel beams and columns.
+ Operate within construction sites, mainly production homes.
+ Ensure safety in all weather conditions.
+ Lift up to 50lbs throughout the day.
+ Stand, crouch, and drive between job sites.
+ Follow blueprints for fitting and fabrication of parts.
+ Perform grinding and prepping of parts for welding.
+ Read tape measures to cut parts to size.
+ Utilize overhead cranes.
+ Assist with cleaning the shop during downtime.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in MIG welding.
+ Ability to read and work from engineered drawings.
+ Experience in steel fabrication.
+ Competence in using hand tools such as tape measures and digital calipers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with up to 1/2 inch welds.
+ Familiarity with stick welding.
+ Ability to follow blueprints for parts fitting and fabrication.
+ Experience with overhead crane operations.

Work Environment
This is an outdoor role that requires working in all weather conditions. The position involves a lot of standing, crouching, and driving from one job to another, primarily at construction sites for production homes. You will work with power tools and collaborate with a certified crane operator. The ability to lift 50lbs throughout the day is necessary.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
